We recently began work on a home extension in Shaw, Wiltshire. Starting with the footings, we marked out the area and dug the trenches to the correct depth. We then poured the concrete footings. These will support the weight of the new extension and are key to a safe, lasting build.
We then laid a hardcore layer and then installed a damp-proof membrane to protect from moisture and added insulation to meet current energy standards. Finally, we poured the concrete floor slab.
This solid base gives a strong start for the rest of the build. With the groundworks complete, the rest of the build can take place.
